About Vitamins...

From Gaby at Dr Aceves office:

Dr Aceves  thinks that vitamins and minerals should be consumed from food sources.
After surgery the smaller stomach restricts or limits the amount of food you can eat but allows for normal digestion and absorption of nutrients.

Nevertheless he knows that due to the limited quantity of food
patients start to feel nervous and feel that they will
not have the  same nutrition as before that is why he recommends

Chewable multivitamin .....once a day
B- 12 sublingual ..............once a day
Calcium Citrate w/Vitamin D ....once a day
Iron ............................... once a day
( some doctors recommend taking Iron 2 hrs after taking calcium supplement . Dr Aceves does not have any comments regarding this)

Your body will absorb only what it needs and eliminate the rest.

You can start 10 days after surgery.

Let me know if you have any questions
